Director - Mortgage Banking - Chicago, IL

Adam Preski is a Director in the Mortgage Banking Group at Berkadia. In mid-2018, he transitioned from Investment Sales to Mortgage Banking, coming from Berkadia’s DC Metro office. Since joining Berkadia in 2016, he has represented clients in over $400M in multifamily real estate transactions in the Mid-Atlantic Region. As a mortgage banking professional in Chicago, Adam represents clients in originating commercial real estate loans for all asset types. He focuses on securing financing for clients through acquisitions, permanent and construction loan originations, and mezzanine debt / joint venture /equity placements. Prior to assuming a production role, Adam was a Production Associate in Chicago, and performed all origination duties including deal sourcing and sizing, underwriting, and managing all closing due diligence items. Adam supported mortgage bankers in the execution of over $175M in loan closings with multiple capital sources including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, life insurance companies, conduits, commercial banks, and private capital institutions.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Adam was a Senior Associate at Moran & Company where he completed over $300M in multifamily asset sales and equity raises for clients in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Southeast Regions. Adam began his career at Equity Residential as an asset manager of a portfolio of 53 multifamily properties located in the Washington, DC and the New York metropolitan areas, valued at more than $2B.
