Berkadia Affordable, Mortgage Banking
Matt joined Berkadia in February 2020 as a debt originator, focused on providing creative and comprehensive financing solutions to owners and developers of multifamily affordable housing.
Since beginning his career in affordable housing in 1997, Matt has closed over 300 financings throughout the country, totaling over $4 billion. Prior to joining Berkadia, Matt worked for nine years with Citi Community Capital in New York and Denver, serving as the Northeast Regional Director from 2013 to 2017. Earlier in his career he was a Director with RBC Capital Markets, prior to which he was a Partner with Eichner Norris & Neumann PLLC, a Washington, DC-based law firm specializing in affordable housing bond finance.
Matt serves on the boards of Boulder Housing Partners, the housing authority for the City of Boulder, CO and the NYC Housing Partnership. He also volunteers with The Honor Foundation, working with former members of U.S. Special Operations Forces to transition from military to successful civilian careers.
