Monica Newman is a Managing Director in the FHA/HUD financing sector for multifamily, senior housing and healthcare. Ms. Newman is primarily responsible for the origination of FHA-insured construction and permanent loans for developers and owners of market rate and affordable multifamily, senior housing and healthcare properties. Prior to joining Berkadia, Ms. Newman served as Executive Vice President with CBRE specializing in the origination of multifamily, senior living and healthcare properties utilizing HUD/FHA financing. She also formed a start-up HUD/FHA lending division for AmeriSphere Mortgage Financing in 2006 which was later purchased by NorthMarq in 2015. Her background also includes Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President for Prudential Huntoon, Paige managing the day-to-day operations of the HUD/FHA Lending Division; she also managed the Production, Asset Management-Construction & Permanent and Closing & Securitization Departments during her tenure with this organization. She has been in the commercial mortgage banking business for more than 30 years with extensive experience in the HUD/FHA financing sector.
