Berkadia Affordable, Investment Sales
Timothy Bracken joined Berkadia as director in 2018 to co-found the firm's national affordable housing investment sales specialty group. He brings 15 years of commercial real estate experience in institutional equity and debt across dispositions, acquisitions, financing and asset management functions, with a particular focus on multifamily. During his career on the principal side, he acquired 22 properties with 2,300 units for $141 million and disposed of 24 properties with 4,200 units for $199 million.
Prior to joining Berkadia, Tim was Vice President at Alden Torch Financial, the nation’s largest affordable housing investor. In this role, he executed dispositions of 17 LIHTC properties with 2,700 units, and co-led a $150 million HUD portfolio refinance. Prior to Alden, Tim served as Director and Head of Asset Management at JCR Capital, a real estate private equity fund manager, where he founded and led the firm’s asset management platform.
