Kris Barber – Director, Hedging and Capital Markets Real Estate – Chatham Financial: Kris Barber is a member of Chatham’s Global Real Estate team, leading Chatham’s western client private real estate team and managing client relationships and comprehensive engagements with private real estate companies. Prior to joining Chatham, Kris spent five years as a college football coach, most recently with Yale University. Before coaching, Kris worked for nine years in investment banking and capital markets, including positions at Capmark and George K. Baum & Company where he provided derivatives advisory and execution services for commercial real-estate, not-for-profit, and municipal clients. He received his bachelorʼs in economics from Yale. 

Dan Brendes – Senior Vice President, Head of GSE Lending and Mortgage Banking – Berkadia: Dan Brendes is responsible for Berkadia’s GSE business lines and driving production through customer engagement, innovation and process improvement. He has over twenty-five years of commercial real estate experience as a producer and in production management. Dan joined Berkadia in 2011, and has served in production and senior manager roles at M&T Realty Capital, CW Capital, Berkshire Mortgage Finance and Freddie Mac. Dan is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and past President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Metropolitan Washington. He has a BA from the University of Virginia, and MS in Real Estate Development from Johns Hopkins University.

Vince Punzi – Senior Director, Conventional Origination – Berkadia: As Senior Director, Vincent Punzi focuses on debt financing for the acquisition and refinance of commercial properties nationwide. During his 12-plus years in commercial real estate, he has held a number of decision-making roles in the industry, ranging from real estate and distressed debt acquisition to origination of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA, balance sheet, bridge and life company loans. Throughout his career, he has acquired and financed more than $2 billion in commercial real estate.Prior to joining Berkadia, Mr. Punzi was Senior Director at Capital One where he originated Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA, bridge and balance sheet loans. Prior to joining Capital One, he held an acquisition role at Sabal Financial and successfully assisted in the execution of $1 billion of distressed real estate, secured loans and OREOs. He also was involved in launching the Freddie Mac SBL and balance sheet program in 2014 and originating loans nationwide.
