Berkadia Arranges Financing for Interface Properties’ Acquisition of Apartments in Naples, Florida
Naples, Florida – August 20, 2025 – Berkadia, a distinguished leader in the commercial real estate sector, announces that it secured financing for Interface Properties’ acquisition of Wild Pines of Naples, a 200-unit apartment community with 100 income-restricted affordable units in Naples, Florida. The Boca Raton-based real estate development, acquisition and management firm, which is owned and operated by Zac Goodman and Ken Goodman, acquired the property for an undisclosed purchase price.
Senior Managing Director Mitch Sinberg, Director Michael Basinski, and Managing Directors Scott Wadler, Brad Williamson and Matt Robbins, aided the sponsors in the assumption of a $20.62 million senior loan, and secured an additional $6 million supplemental through Freddie Mac, for a total financing package of $26.62 million. Both are fixed-rate loans with 10-year terms. The deal closed on August 15.
“This is a strategic acquisition in a rapidly growing location that will benefit tremendously from Interface Properties’ focus on property improvements and hands-on management expertise,” said Basinski.
“We are excited about this acquisition as it builds on our strengths in LIHTC, affordable housing, and development,” said Zac Goodman. “Wild Pines strengthens our in-house management footprint, and with 10.5 acres along Davis Boulevard in the path of growth, it also presents an exciting opportunity for a creative future in downtown Naples.”
The property was built in multiple phases between 1985 and 2001, with 10% of the units being built in 1968 at 2850 Wild Pines Lane in Naples, Florida. The property consists of two-story garden-style apartments with both market rate and affordable units. It features amenities such as a clubhouse, swimming pool, laundry facility, fitness center and business center. The new owners plan to complete various property improvements, including laundry and gym enhancements, amenity upgrades, improved landscaping, a dog park, and more.
Wild Pines of Naples is conveniently located directly off Tamiami Trail in the heart of Naples, one of South Florida’s most desirable communities. The property is approximately five minutes from Downtown Naples, and 10 minutes from the beaches of Naples.
