Berkadia FHA/HUD: 2026 FHA Conference

Over 120 members of Berkadia FHA/HUD recently gathered in St. Louis, Missouri for three days of connection, learning, and collaboration. The agenda included discussions on Berkadia’s long-term vision, HUD priorities, team excellence, and AI-driven transformation. A standout moment was a team-building event with the Little Bit Foundation, where attendees assembled over 4,500 care kits for underprivileged youth in the local community!

The conference highlighted the strength of our team, the momentum across the business (best Q1 production of the past 5 years), and the opportunity ahead as we refine our processes and improve the customer experience. It reinforced key themes: leadership alignment, operational excellence, innovation, and teamwork across the FHA/HUD platform.

Technology Transformation & Innovation: A Balanced Approach to AI

Using the latest technoly, particularly artificial intelligence, was a major theme.  The AI Showcase and “Prompt Royale” awards demonstrated practical applications of AI across workflows and client engagement. At the same time, discussions emphasized a thoughtful, responsible approach to adoption.

Key priorities include:

  • Data security and confidentiality
  • Use of approved, enterprise-grade platforms
  • Transparency and accountability in outputs
  • Human oversight to ensure accuracy and context

By pairing innovation with discipline, Berkadia FHA/HUD is well positioned to lead while maintaining client trust.

Giving Back: Supporting the Little Bit Foundation

A highlight was a service project benefiting the Little Bit Foundation. Through a team-based activity, attendees assembled more than 4,500 personal care kits. This effort reflected the team’s commitment to making a meaningful impact beyond day-to-day work.

Strengthening Connections & Moving Forward

The conference also fostered strong relationships through shared experiences, reinforcing collaboration and alignment across teams.
