Chicago, Illinois – March 31, 2026 – Berkadia, a distinguished leader in the commercial real estate sector, is pleased to announce that Mike Rogers has joined its Mortgage Banking platform as a Managing Director with Berkadia Medical & Life Sciences, based in Chicago, Illinois. Reporting to Senior Managing Director – Head of Medical & Life Sciences, Sabrina Solomiany, Rogers began his role on March 30.
Rogers is primarily responsible for advising institutional and private healthcare real estate owners on strategic debt capital markets execution across all specialties of healthcare real estate. His experience structuring complex healthcare real estate financings across cycles on the institutional principal side provides clients with a unique capital markets perspective.
“We are excited to welcome Mike to Berkadia and to further expand our mortgage banking capabilities within our Medical & Life Sciences platform,” said Solomiany. “Mike’s expertise, relationships, and thoughtful approach to structuring capital will further strengthen our ability to deliver tailored, strategic solutions for healthcare owners and operators nationwide.”
“Having spent my career on the ownership side, I understand the importance of aligning financing strategy with long-term asset and portfolio objectives,” said Rogers. “Berkadia’s platform provides a unique opportunity to bring that perspective to clients, and I look forward to helping healthcare owners navigate an increasingly complex capital markets environment with thoughtful, tailored debt solutions.”
Prior to joining Berkadia, Rogers spent over 5 years at Ventas, where he led mortgage debt capital markets activity across the company’s diversified healthcare portfolio. During his tenure, he originated over $6 billion in mortgage financing across banks, life companies, CMBS, agency, and debt fund lenders, while also supporting more than $10 billion in unsecured capital markets initiatives. He played a key role in managing Ventas’ broad lender relationships and capital structure strategy.
Earlier in his career, Rogers was with GGP (later Brookfield Properties Retail), where he executed more than $10 billion of debt financing across a national retail shopping center portfolio.
Rogers holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois Gies College of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.
