Berkadia Adds Director to Investment Sales Platform in Tampa, Florida
Tampa, FL – July 30, 2024 – Berkadia announced today the addition of Director Chris Burtner who will be based out of Tampa, Florida working alongside Senior Managing Director Matt Mitchell. Burtner will report to SVP – Co-Head of Investment Sales and Production Operations Mike Miner. Chris joined Berkadia on July 1.
Chris advises clients on sales and equity placements for commercial real estate assets, with a focus on the multi-housing sector. Chris spent nearly a decade in real estate development, acquisitions, asset management, capital markets and principal investing roles across a variety of asset classes and geographies, totaling more than $3 billion of deal experience.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Chris served as the Vice President of Development for Mill Creek Residential, helping lead the firm’s efforts across Central and North Florida. At Mill Creek, his responsibilities included sourcing and negotiating land acquisitions, raising and structuring equity and debt capital, securing entitlements and overseeing design, permitting and construction of Mill Creek communities across the region.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Central Florida.
