Berkadia Negotiates Multifamily Property Sale and Financing in Houston, Texas
Houston, Texas – March 4, 2026 – Berkadia, a distinguished leader in the commercial real estate sector, announced today the sale and financing of Green Tree Place, a 200-unit, garden-style multifamily community built in 1984 and located in Houston, Texas.
Berkadia Houston Investment Sales was led by Managing Director Chris Young and included Senior Managing Directors Chris Curry and Jeffrey Skipworth, Managing Director Joey Rippel, Senior Director Kyle Whitney, and Associate Director Jed Dalton. The team negotiated the transaction on behalf of the seller, Kairos Investment Management, which is a minority-owned, entrepreneurial real estate investment company established with a long-term orientation and a focus on value-based real estate investments with favorable risk/reward characteristics, often employing a contrarian investment approach. The sale price was not disclosed.
The buyer, Aligned Ventures, is a Texas-based multifamily investment firm focused on acquiring and operating strategically located workforce housing communities across major Texas growth markets. The firm targets assets with strong in-place cash flow and measurable operational upside, executing a disciplined, long-term investment strategy. Financing for the acquisition was arranged by Senior Managing Director Tim Leonhard of Berkadia Affordable Housing.
