Berkadia Adds Three Investment Sales Advisors in San Diego, California

San Diego, California – July 2, 2025 – Berkadia, a distinguished leader in the commercial real estate sector, is pleased to announce the addition of Managing Directors John Chu, Ed Rosen, and Tyler Sinks to its investment sales platform in San Diego, California. Reporting to SVP – Co-Head of Investment Sales and Production Operations, Mike Miner, Chu, Rosen, and Sinks began their roles on June 30. 

Chu, Rosen, and Sinks specialize in advising clients on all facets of multifamily investments, including acquisition, development, financing, operations, and dispositions across San Diego and Inland Empire. With over 75 years of combined experience in commercial real estate, they have successfully completed nearly 500 transactions totaling more than $17 billion in volume. 

“We are thrilled to welcome John, Ed, and Tyler back to Berkadia,” said Miner. “Their extensive experience in the multifamily sector will add to our existing capabilities in Southern California and strengthen our portfolio of top-tier clients. Prior to joining Berkadia, Chu, Rosen, and Sinks were part of Northmarq’s San Diego Multifamily Investment Sales, where they were involved in all aspects of client development, marketing, research, valuation, and sales.  

Previous to Northmarq, Chu, Rosen, and Sinks spent eight years with Berkadia, where they were recognized as perennial top producing multifamily brokers in Southern California.

Both Chu and Rosen attended San Diego State University and are active members of the San Diego Apartment Association.  

Sinks received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College, where he was a three-time All-American and a four-time national champion on the college’s varsity sailing team. He then went on to receive his Master of Real Estate Degree from the University of San Diego.
