Berkadia Completes Sale and Secures Financing for Multifamily Property in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Murrells Inlet, South Carolina – December 11, 2025 – Berkadia, a distinguished leader in the commercial real estate sector, announced today the sale and financing of Waterleaf at Murrells Inlet, a 240-unit garden-style multifamily property in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Senior Managing Directors Caleb Troop, Mark Boyce, Jim Sewell, and David Lansbury; Managing Director Erika Maston; Senior Director Blake Coffey; Director Thomas Colaiezzi; and Associate Director Matt Robertson of Berkadia Charlotte and Charleston led the sale on behalf of the seller, South Carolina-based Graycliff Capital, a leading developer/owner in the multifamily sector, based in Greenville. The buyer is North Carolina-based Chaucer Creek Capital.
Directors Jeremy Lynch and Jake Adoni of Berkadia Philadelphia secured acquisition financing on behalf of Chaucer Creek Capital. The deal closed on December 2.
“This asset has outperformed in the broader Myrtle Beach apartment market for the last several years, which is a testament to the strong development work by Graycliff,” Troop said. “With a strong tenant base and high barriers to entry for new development in Murrells Inlet, there is no doubt that Chaucer Creek Capital will continue to excel with this investment for years to come.”
