Andy Wimsatt serves as Senior Managing Director and Head of Berkadia Hotels & Hospitality based in Berkadia’s DC Metro office. In this capacity, he leads the Investment Sales and Mortgage Banking activities for Berkadia’s national hospitality vertical. With over 30 years in the lodging industry, Mr. Wimsatt is a trusted advisor to institutional owners and investors in the hospitality industry.
Prior to joining Berkadia, Mr. Wimsatt served as Managing Director at Eastdil Secured, where he provided services for hotel equity and debt placement. Prior to Eastdil Secured, Mr. Wimsatt assumed leadership of the Institutional Properties Group for CBRE Hotels in 2010. He focused his efforts at CBRE on the purchase, sale, and financial structuring of institutional-quality assets in the lodging industry, working on behalf of lodging REITs, international private equity firms, and significant national developers. Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Wimsatt had a 20-year career with Marriott International, where he ultimately oversaw Marriott’s development efforts in the Caribbean and Latin America, successfully expanding Marriott’s portfolio of hotels across the region.
