Angela Folkers serves as a Director for Berkadia FHA/HUD. With 19 years of FHA underwriting experience, Angela brings a unique background to loan originations, offering her expertise throughout the entire FHA loan process from engagement to closing. She specializes in both market rate and affordable transactions. Angela has developed and maintains strong relationships with HUD offices across the country.
Prior to joining Berkadia, she served as the Chief Underwriter at Love Funding for nearly six years overseeing both multifamily and healthcare underwriting. Angela’s vast knowledge of HUD’s standards, rules and regulations have assisted clients in closing over $1 billion in loan volume. She is also actively involved within the industry, currently serving as the 2nd Vice President of the Southeastern Mortgagee Advisory Council and a past Vice President of the Healthcare Mortgagee Advisory Council.
