Dan Geuther is a Managing Director with Berkadia Cleveland Mortgage Banking. Mr. Geuther is responsible for originating and structuring complex real estate financing and equity placements, by providing clients access to a diverse group of internal and external capital sources. In 10 years with Berkadia and its predecessor companies, he has been responsible for originating over $4 billion across more than 200 debt and equity transactions. In 2021, he closed loans with 22 unique capital sources, which was a high watermark among all mortgage bankers at Berkadia in 2021, demonstrating the diversified business perspective he brings to clients.

Some of Mr. Geuther’s recent transactions include: a $140 million bridge loan to reposition an asset build-to-rent portfolio in Tucson, a $60 million 15-year fixed rate Freddie Mac loan on a Class A property in urban Cleveland, a $53 million bridge loan to take out construction financing for a 240-unit multifamily property in Covington, KY, and a $70 million five-year credit facility for a two million square foot industrial portfolio in the Midwest. These financings demonstrate his ability to bring clients customized solutions that meet their business plans.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Mr. Geuther was an Associate with The Townsend Group. While at Townsend, he advised institutional investors on commercial real estate investments with aggregate portfolios in excess of $10 billion, underwrote direct asset acquisitions and private equity real estate funds, and participated in the recommendation and investment of more than $2.5 billion of client equity capital.
