Garret Mater is a Director and part of Berkadia Affordable Housing, where he structures customized debt solutions for multifamily developers and owners. He advises clients on construction, bridge, acquisition, and refinance financing, drawing on a broad range of capital sources including Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA, and balance-sheet lending products. Since 2023, he has contributed to the closing of more than $2 billion in multifamily loan volume.
Before joining Berkadia, Garret was an Originations Analyst at Lument, supporting multifamily loan originations and evaluating financing opportunities across diverse capital sources.
Garret brings a client-focused, analytical, and collaborative approach to each assignment. He works closely with clients to assess capital options, navigate changing market conditions, and execute financing strategies that support their investment objectives and long-term success.
