Josh Bodin is Senior Vice President, Capital Markets Strategy & Trading at Berkadia. In this role, Mr. Bodin manages the capital markets activities related to Berkadia’s mortgage banking agency business including the management of loan pricing, trading, and investor relationships, as well as, providing business analysis for Berkadia’s Fannie Mae DUS ® and FHA lending programs. Mr. Bodin also oversees all economic analysis for Berkadia and is responsible for providing real-time feedback on economic conditions and creating content and commentary for Berkadia’s vast mortgage banking network and participating in the creation of white papers published by Berkadia.
Mr. Bodin brings a wealth of knowledge in trading, economic analysis, and financial engineering to Berkadia from his 20 years of experience in real estate finance and capital markets. Prior to his role at Berkadia, Mr. Bodin built and managed a Small Balance Lending Channel at Capital One where he traded over $6 billion in annual mortgage-backed security book. He also ran modeling, reporting, and traded a mortgage-backed security book at Beech Street Capital and managed the bond structuring role for Freddie Mac during their launch of the K-deal program.
