Matt Hubbell is an Associate Director with Berkadia Affordable Housing, an integrated mortgage banking, investment sales, and tax credit syndication platform. In his role, Mr. Hubbell is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing financing solutions for multifamily owners and developers nationwide. His experience spans construction, permanent, and bridge financing across a range of capital sources, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/HUD, and Private Placements.
Prior to joining Berkadia, Mr. Hubbell served as an Associate Director at Lument, with an emphasis on financing communities that utilize 4% and 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Section 8 rental assistance, tax-exempt bonds, and various other Affordable housing programs. He began his career in 2013 at Fannie Mae, analyzing the financial performance of the company’s multifamily portfolio.
Mr. Hubbell earned his degree from Salisbury University with a concentration in Business Management and holds FINRA Series 52 and Series 63 licenses. He serves as Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) San Diego Partnership Forum Group and is an active member of the ULI San Diego Housing Council. He also volunteers with Project Destined, a nonprofit organization providing mentorship and training to students pursuing careers in commercial real estate.
