The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Boston Investment Sales team by delivering accurate financial analysis, market intelligence, transaction coordination, and client-ready presentation materials for multifamily investment opportunities. This role combines strong underwriting expertise, disciplined data management, and clear storytelling to translate complex financial, operational, and market information into compelling insights that help position assets, inform investment decisions, and support efficient transaction execution from initial analysis through successful closing. 

Responsibilities  

  • Perform detailed financial analysis and underwriting of multifamily investment opportunities, including existing assets, value-add opportunities, and ground-up developments using proprietary or team-approved models. 

  • Analyze P&L statements, rent rolls, operating data, and other financial materials to evaluate asset performance, investment potential, and transaction considerations. 

  • Research, maintain, and leverage market intelligence databases covering investment sales activity, construction pipelines, economic trends, demographic data, competitive positioning, and other relevant real estate metrics. 

  • Develop and maintain deep market knowledge through industry research, surveys, benchmarks, economic forecasts, news sources, and trade publications. 

  • Translate financial, market, and property-level data into clear insights, compelling narratives, graphics, charts, and presentation materials that support client-facing deliverables. 

  • Contribute to offering memorandums, broker opinions of value, “state of the market” presentations, and other marketing materials by researching, writing, editing, proofing, and ensuring consistency and accuracy. 

  • Craft the investment thesis and overall story for each assignment by connecting market conditions, property performance, location dynamics, and broader investment trends into a cohesive value proposition. 

  • Partner with brokers and production team members to understand analytical needs, identify strategic opportunities, and support presentations or analyses for clients and prospects as needed. 

  • Support transaction execution and due diligence by coordinating among buyers, sellers, brokers, title companies, and other stakeholders; tracking deliverables, documentation, deadlines, disclosures, contingencies, and information requests. 

  • Maintain a consistent, quality-controlled transaction process by organizing files, monitoring progress toward closing, following up on missing documents, conducting preliminary file audits, and proactively addressing issues or risks. 

  • Manage responsibilities in a timely, organized, and accountable manner while supporting the team’s standard business hours and completing other duties as assigned. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proficient in MS Office suite, including exceptionally strong Excel modeling skills  experience with VBA and complex formulas. 

  • Skilled in data analytics, including demographics, competitors, and industry trends. 

  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas effectively through writing and data visualization. 

  • Organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness. 

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
