New York, New York – June 16, 2026 – Berkadia, a distinguished leader in the commercial real estate sector, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Bendit as EVP – Chief Legal Officer. Reporting to Berkadia President Randy Jenson, Bendit assumed his new role on June 15 and now serves as a member of Berkadia’s Management Committee. Berkadia’s Lisa Maloney will become General Counsel, reporting to Bendit, and will assume broad leadership responsibilities across the legal organization.

In this role, Bendit is responsible for overseeing all of Berkadia’s legal and compliance matters. He fosters collaboration and trust between Berkadia’s legal department and the company’s business units, serving as a trusted advisor, and transaction partner.
Bendit joined Berkadia in September 2011 and, prior to his current position, served as General Counsel. He brings more than 40 years of experience in commercial real estate, finance, and international business.
