Cortney Mauldin joined Berkadia in September 2019 as a Director in the St. Louis office. With over 20 years in the commercial real estate lending industry, Cortney specializes in multifamily and healthcare transactions. In his current role, he is responsible for originating FHA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac loans. Over the past five years, Cortney has successfully originated and closed over 35 transactions, totaling over $375 million in loan volume.
Prior to joining Berkadia, Cortney served as Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriter for Capital One National Association. In this position, he was responsible for complete oversight and quality control of all underwriting and closing functions related to FHA insured transactions. Throughout his career, he has personally underwritten over $1 billion in loan volume and has overseen upwards of $4 billion in FHA production.
Cortney holds a degree in Mathematics from DePauw University, where he also minored in Economics and Psychology. He furthered his education by obtaining an Executive MBA from Washington University in St. Louis in 2016. He continues to be recognized by HUD as a MAP and LEAN approved underwriter.
