Dan Hawkins is a Managing Director and part of Berkadia Hotels & Hospitality Investment Sales. Based in the DC Metro office, Mr. Hawkins leverages his prior experience working in hospitality asset management paired with his capital markets knowledge to provide his clients with best-in-class service. Having been in the real estate industry through several business cycles, Mr. Hawkins is proficient in identifying the advantages and disadvantages of different market conditions.In his current role, Mr. Hawkins is focused on the marketing and sale of a wide variety of hospitality assets spanning from iconic 5-star luxury hotels and vineyards to core-plus select service assets and premium branded hotels in secondary markets.
Prior to joining Berkadia in 2017, he was with CBRE Hotels working with the DC-based investment sales team and with The Donohoe Companies working under the Chief Financial Officer of their Hospitality Services division. He has been involved in more than $3 billion in hotel sales across the United States since starting in investment sales.
Mr. Hawkins attended the University of Maryland at College Park and is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Master’s of Hospitality Management program where he specialized in development and asset management.
