Dave Strachan is a Managing Director in Berkadia’s Cleveland Office. He joined Berkadia in 2023 and is responsible for providing debt solutions to multifamily and healthcare property owners across the country. He specializes in multifamily debt financing with a focus on affordable and FHA/HUD transactions.
Prior to joining Berkadia, Mr. Strachan spent 14 years originating loans and working as a Senior Underwriter for both Love Funding Corporation and PGIM Real Estate. During that time, he was responsible for the origination of over $700 million in FHA Debt. Dave has experience with both Market Rate and Affordable Housing including transactions involving LIHTCs, Public Housing RAD conversions, New Construction, and Substantial Rehabilitation. He is both MAP and LEAN certified and has closed transactions using all multifamily and healthcare HUD loan programs.
Mr. Strachan holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and participates in multiple housing organizations, advocating for the continued creation of affordable, safe housing.
