Melissa Koppel is a Senior Director with Berkadia Affordable Housing. In this role, Ms. Koppel is responsible for executing and originating transactions for Berkadia Dallas. She specializes in multifamily debt financing with a focus on affordable and FHA/HUD with new construction/rehab components. Since joining Berkadia Dallas in 2021, she has been involved in more than 140 commercial real estate transactions totaling more than $3 billion.
Prior to joining Berkadia, Ms. Koppel was a Vice President – Underwriting at Citi Community Capital, where she specialized in Construction and GSE lending.
Ms. Koppel has a Bachelor of Science from East Tennessee State University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Tennessee Technological University. She serves on the board for the Tennessee chapter of Women’s Affordable Housing Network.
