Joel Kirstein is a Managing Director of Mortgage Banking and national lead for Berkadia Single-Family Rental & Build-to-Rent. Mr. Kirstein joined Berkadia in June of 2017 and is responsible for loan origination and equity placement within the Single-Family Rental and multifamily asset classes. Over the course of his career, he has closed in excess of $2 billion in the US housing investment space. His areas of expertise are land bank structuring, development capitalizations, construction financing, joint venture capital, and long-term permanent financing through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Life Insurance Company executions.
